Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins (born in Mexico) is an Mexican American sportscaster. She is currently employed by ESPN as a reporter for SportsCenter and sometimes hosts SportsNation. She was hired by ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual woman and has been since the age of nine. This skill has helped her get her first job at Univision, Miami. She was able to work as a producer for national programs like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Following this she was hired by she was hired by the CBS affiliate located in St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. Then she moved into Rio Grande Valley in 2009 as a reporter for one of the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. In 2009 she made the move to Rio Grande Valley, Texas, where she became an editor for KNVO48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. Also, she would fill in at times as a news and sports anchor. Deportes 23 was Univision Dallas affiliate and she assumed more responsibilities. She was a reporter for events like the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. In addition, she hosted the local Univision 23 sports program Accion Deportiva Extra on which she served as the anchor. The show was commissioned as a sports anchor by Despierta America Deportes for their morning program. As a sports anchor she also worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) and Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports program). Antonietta Collins' parents were born in Veracruz Mexico. They eventually moved from Veracruz Mexico to Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. She's more mature than her younger sister. The family moved in 1992 to Mexico for the US and eventually settled in Miami. Soon after the family split up, and, in 1995 Fabio Fajardo got married again. He passed away from kidney cancer in the year 2006. While on a vacation Antonietta spent the time at the home of her sister in Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sibling had recently gotten a new job. Antonietta, a high-school senior with an idea of what she would like her life to be, visited Mount Union University to see what she could get out of the college. The result was that she liked the campus, and the university offered the major she wanted. Following her graduation from high school, she decided to attend the University with a major in media studies. Her relationship lasted for a while with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the director at WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was a part. Her professor Mark Bergmann inspired her by his love of journalism. He also deeply impacted her.
